HELP ASAP CLUTCH FELL TO FLOOR AND DOESNT COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright guys, been driving around. The only problem I had before was my car kept shutting down on me in the middle of no where. Turns out it was a loose connection to the dizzy hasnt done it ever again. Well driving all around today. I go to blockbuster rent a couple of movies and come out. I turn the vehicle on and go to start and clutch drops to the floor, I pulled it with my hand and tried pumping nothing. I had my girlfriend pumping back and forth, luckily I had my tools and I tried bleeding it I had her push the clutch 10 times and hold loosed slave and tried bleeding the clutch. It didnt even shoot out like it usually does with pressure. It just dripped out. I tried and again and same thing. I pushed the slave clyinder with my hand and it moved perfectly. I had fluid in the master cylinder and the smaller master cylinder(what is the name of this LOL). So yeah it started pooring like a **** and I left the car there. Luckily I work there but can anyone tell me what the problem is.
i would check your master cylinder. u sure its not leaking on your carpet? for sure u have air in it. maybe master cylinder going bad.
well I have a spare slave cylinder and all but I dont have a spare master cylinder. Anyone can confirm this I dont want to go and change the slave cylinder and nothing works.

look up @ your pedal from the inside and see if its leaking @ all.
i'd just keep bleeding it and filling it with fluid, if it was ok you should have alteast got some feel back if you were doing it properly

Check for leaks both at the master, and the slave. Also check the reservoir to see for any leaks, check the lines. It could be a leak in any of these. If the lines and reservoir are fine, I'd change both the master and the slave at the same time. Hope that helped.

SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME! like exactly.. i was even at blockbuster when it happened... i was able to build up enought pressure to make it work till i got home. next day i replaced the slave cylinder first b/c it was the cheaper part and tested it. works great now. if i were u i would change the slave first and test it since they are only 20 bucks or so and then if that fails then do the master since they are short of 100.
hope that helps

yeah.. when i got my slave cylinder i think it was 12 bucks and some change...
I havent had to replace the master yet, which is lucky for me. but if I were you I would look for leaks around the slave cylinder because it would suck to have to replace both, especially if the master wasnt broken.
How much do you trust your friend?
It could very well be the master, but in some cases it may be better to just rplace the slave first.

I know how to replace the slave, I have done it on a friends car but I dont know how to replace the CLutch master Cylinder. Anything I should be aware of if the slave doesnt work. I am sure I can do this, I have decent mechanic skills so brakes, struts, wiring, starters, alternators, dizzys and motor swaps are what I mostly do.
Okay guys thanks for all your help, too bad I didnt see that write up but I figuered it out. Very easy thing to do! Dont be scared, took me about an hour to pull and put on. The thing that took me a long time to do is match the pedal and the CMC. Took patience.
this was the same problem on my buddys 96 gsr.
instead of replacing the cylinders, just try bleeding the clutch line. its basically like bleeding the brakes but the bleeder screw is in front of the engine by the header
