Enjoy!
MK4 24V VR6 / T3/T4 downpipe (2.5") :

MK4 24V VR6 turbo inlet pipe (2.5") :

This is a 3.0" downpipe I started today for an MK2 Jetta VR6 turbo :

The following is stuff I did last week :
Audi S4 / GT25 downpipes, which were started by someone else, but I finished them :

MK4 24V VR6 intercooler pipes (2.5") :

i've never seen forged bends before... didn't know they did that. not sure why you would need to have exhaust piping made from forged material...i've heard of roll formed bends though.
nice to see another canuck doing some great fab work.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
I use a bandsaw for cutting, and make sure to clean / wash the pipes before welding.
Not sure what the pipes are called, but they aren't thicker than regular tubing. It's 1/16" thick. All I know is that it's A3 grade canadian stainless steel. Welds beautifully.
We get it from a canadian supplier, not sure exactly where. If my bosses are cool with it, I'll get the name of the place.
Thanks again!

beautiful work - I especially like the S4 stuff. I am in Vancouver and desperately trying to source out some stainless in Canada and not have to worry about customs and such. If you can, I would love to get that info from you.
Thanks,
EJ
Thanks,

That's called sanitary tubing. Its used for food processing and dairies and things like that .Its usually 316-L and it is expensive.Sometimes you can pick it up at a scrap metal yard for a buck a pound.

Thats just who makes it .But its called sanitary tubing. It comes in 90's and 45's and they have no legs on them .See those 90's he has ? Thats just how they come.No U bends. And that stuff will kill a band saw blade in about 3 cuts.

Thanks for the info - I'll look them up and see what I can find out here.

I used Vibrant 3" bends for my exhaust. I got em from Lordco, which isn't the cheapest place, but not too bad if you know the right account to put it under. At least there's no shipping/duty etc..

I see the retainer for the balljoint in the right corner.
I just did a LCA and balljoint on a 03 GTI.
Is that a stubby ratchet with a snap on screwdriver under that plastic plate? I only ask because that looks my screwdriver handel, and my soft grip ratchet looks like a diffrent handel (still snap on) and it looks like that ratchet has a screwdriver handel on it.
heres a pic of one of my ratchets and a screw driver if you think i'm on crack.

Some new pics!
A race-prepped Audi TT race car, stock turbo, as limited by the race class ...

3" turbo-back exhaust. Galvanized / MIG. Had to be done before the end of the day, including the downpipe!

2.5" 24V boost pipes, 3" downpipe, and 3" exhaust!

Random :

Custom dual exhaust on a TT :

Turbo inlet pipes for an Audi S4 ... I love polished stainless!

The weld of the week!
