So I'm getting an EG with a B20B4 swap... What's next?
I think I want to go with a b20/vtec setup but what are the essential parts involved? I think I want to stay all motor for now, no boost for me anytime soon. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg considering this is just a weekend project car but I also don't want to end up with an unreliable shitty ride, so if I have to I will. Oh yeah it also has a jdm GSR tranny... I don't really know if that matters. Thanks for the advice in advance.
Have you driven the car yet? It may be enough as is for you for now.
Vtec head in good condition expect 400.00 to 700.00 and hope they ship it well packaged.
Head gasket, head studs, LSVTEC oil kit, seals/gaskets, higher compression pistons, depends on how deep you want to go with it.
could get expensive once you start doing things "RIGHT" don't half *** or it will be twice as much in the long run.

Any idea on the standard compression for the b20/vtec build? Also where can I source one of these ls/vtec oil kits?
enginedynamics on ebay has the oil kit so do about 20 people in the sponsor section.
Standard compression on a B20 is 9.6 or something like that maybe even lower than that. Doesn't change too much with a vtec head. Depends if you use a gsr or a B16 head.
Read through the faq sections in hybrid and you should be able to find the numbers you need.
