Ok the maxx redline for a stock type r is what?? 8400 right?? now would there be a problem if i redline it at 9000,, so far i have headers and intake and exhaust.. so let me know whats up//

 

why do you want to rev any higher?

You COULD rev that high but not only are you asking for serious problems but also you wont be making peak power that high so this begs the question: Why?

 

The honda engineers are smarter than you. They set the 8400 rev limit on a b18c5 for a reason.

only until you start modifiying it to do more then you can start questioning what your redline should be.

 

You can EASILY turn to 11,000RPM on a stock engine, don't listen to these guys.

Leave the redline stock dude... I know your cars sounds like an F1 racer at 9,000RPM through a tunnel with the windows open, but it's pointless on a stock engine.
