since the car is made for cable transmissions, its easier to swap in a cable trans.

i personally feel the best trans for a b series rex is the Ys1, its the ONLY cable trans that is capable of housing all of the ITR internal gearing.

i like the feel of cable over hydro. not sure why, just like the feel of it. i guess it makes me feel more "in tune" with the machine.

I agree 100%

But I do want to tack on, depending what you are doing with the car you might want another trans.
Tire sizing can help a bit, but in some cases another trans might be your best bet.

One case is alot of highway miles, you might want a LS 5th gear or a GSR tranny instead.

The YS1 was the cable tranny used in 92-93 GSR's right? Are they hard to come by, because I'm getting a b18b and looking for a better geared transmission than the LS tranny. sorry for stealing your thread OP.

ys1 was the tranny code for all 92-93 integra trannsmissions.. tough to tell if you have a real gsr ys1 without it being attatched to a b17
