EK with h22. Horror stories of torn chassis mounts?
I've heard a few stories of torn chassis engine mounting points with the h22 motors in EK.
Anybody have first hand knowledge or experience of this or heard about it?
I'm putting a mild NA H22 into my hatch this next week. I've ordered my innovative mounts.
I've heard it is wise to get the fourth front mount/crossmember from them but I'm broke.
I don't want to risk any damage without it however.
Is the risk of tearing the chassis really serious or very rare and isolated?
The car will be used for autocross.

well I called innovative up directly and they said only about 1 in 50 of the mount kits they sell get the crossmember bar also.
So how many of you out there are running innovative h22 into ek mounts without it and how does it feel?

If you use your stock drivers side mount you will tear it over time. I ran my ek for a while with no front mount and a stock drivers side mount for quite a while with no problem even with a messed up rear bushing. If your going to do it go with aftermarket mounts all the way around and when you have the money if you feel its needed get the frount mount maid
