Default question for those of you with an ek

I installed a completely new exhaust system on my car the other day, and I'm having fitment alignment issues.

First off the cat I got might not be right, for some reason on the box of this cat is says for an 88-97 civic which I thought there would be no difference between 96-00 but whatever. The exhaust I bought I know is right for my application.

The first peice after the cat back has a resognator with a hanger attached to it, but the hanger on the chassis of the car is not in the right place for this hanger. And the resognator rests against the chassis which causes vibrations inside the car. Which is rather annoying.

If you guys look under your cars at the exhaust hanger thats in the middle of the car, is it on the passenger side or the driver side..?

There's your problem right there. That's a bogus year range for ANY part.
