Would this work out? Cause I either wanna try to be the first in Alaska to fit one of those into and EF9, or I might just go K20A and be the third or fourth to have one here.
Either way, how would I go about getting a F20C into an EF9?

$4k+ for the motor alone.
Then pray. You won't see this swap conversion. This isn't something HASport or Place Racing is gonna work on.
Lots of custom work.

Keep Playin' Forza Motorsport 2 and you'll win enough money to do it.. lol
seriously though... gonna cost way more than the car would be worth

heh gonna be a lot of these posts now since that damn game lists it as a possible swap.
to Kyle.Fitzjearl:
on a s2000, the engine is logintudally mounted and the transmission housing goes through the firewall of the car.
so on the crx it would mandatory to cut huge chunks out of the car just to make room, THEN you need to fabricate each of the mounts.
that alone would take the average guy weeks.
now, you realize buying just the engine from hmotors doesnt give you the drivetrain needed correct?
start junkyard hunting for flipped or wrecked s2000's and break open that piggy bank, and grab the whole rear setup out of one of those.
now you have to fab it all up, and measure out how much extra you have on the driveshaft since the crx has a much shorter wheelbase.
now you have to take the rear over to a custom driveshaft shop and have them fabricate something the correct legnth.
by now youve spent between 15 and 20 thousand dollars, and you havnt even gotten to the wiring yet.
if you got that far with it, im sure you could pay one of the guys on here with a lot of OBD2 experience to come help you out.
so, thats howd you go about swapping that motor into a crx. i know because like a lot of guys on here ive always wanted to do one, but its just more then the cost of a s2k to do it.
some of the best swappers alive, have had the parts available to do it, and said "not worth it"
BUT (and this is a big BUT) i have seen the f20c swapped into PLEANTY of cars, including nissans and many other chassis.
so impossible? i'd say no. but worth it?
thats up to you.

It is still all the same as far at engine bay. And darn near the same to the fabrication that needs to be done. Which is what Doublethink is getting at.

Damn.. I see. Well thanks for the input guys. I now know that K20A is the way to go.
And I dont play Forza Motorsport hahaha, and I guess I shouldnt. But anyways. I just wanted something that hadnt been done in Alaska. Not something that hadnt been done at all (from what it sounds like). So Ill stick with the K20A.

quite the opposite kyle, forza ia actually a great racing simulation game.
and it allows you to do engine swaps on the civics.

forza 2 for the 360, i highly recommend because its also FULL of information about how race cars setup suspensions and whatnot, as well as the engine related stuff.
he is actually talking about forza 2 on xbox 360. the original was good, but the sequel is what everyone is raving about...
man, I want a 360...
*EDIT*
HA, we where posting at the same time... woot

it has been done, but you need to fabricate an entire chassis to do it (basically just using the body) - will set you back a lot of money - here are pictures of a CRX with F20C that i ran across a while back:

you know, im going to probably sound like an ******* here, but why spend all that money to side mount a ******* f20c into the front of an EG.......
it obviously still FWD.........
a properly built k20 or h22 will embarrass that car considering the money it would take to make it work......
^^^^ that **** is NASTY.....
im seriously speechless at the time spent on that.
but if you notice, those 2 pieces of glass, and the separation between them, thats whats you'd need to do to a daily driver if you did the same swap.
to mount it properly just doesnt work in this chassis and thats why honda made the large engine bay on the s2k to accommodate it.

well u do sound like an *******
jp but i believe that it had something to do with the rules for honda challenge(maybe the internals have to be stock...in which case the f20c is a more powerful engine stock than any k series)

the headers are obviously not how they would be on an s2k... all equal length and going directly to a collector.......
that alone should disqualify it from "stock" competition
but then again i guess its a good thing i dont make the rules....
and i still am in awe of that, for the record.
