these work well. you can tuck the ipod in the tray compartment and close it and use the cup holders.

Do you have a Base model? If so, if there is a plug in the back for a CD Changer, they make I-pod to car adapters that go through there. Some also control the I-pod. (Something like this http://www.clubmac.com/clubmac...8.asp) I wouldn't go with HK unit. They usually have line noise. I have installed a bunch and about half work right. There is something about a bad cable from the I-pod to the main unit that causes noise.

doesn't it suck that the si guys have an ipod jack and we as "acuras" dont have that kind of luxury
but to answer the original question, an aftermarket stereo that's ipod ready would be the best quality/setup

^ agreed. Your best bet is either an Ipod Adapter designed to plug into the CD Changer-In port on the back of your head unit, or an after market stereo.
As far as after market stereos go, I prefer ones with front mounted USB or 3.5mm AUX inputs. That way I can just use the ipod's controls to shuffle through songs. Downside of that is wires in your way; upside is that you save some money on adapters and dont have to splurge for a high res display. Also AUX Inputs will allow you to use any device with the proper output cable so you wont be limited to Ipods forever. For a long time in my old car I just used my phone to play music through the stereo when my Ipod's HD died.
Other after market options are:
• Direct Ipod adapters (made by JVC, Sony, Kenwood, etc) designed for the stereo you bought which allows for song navigation from the head unit (just make sure you get a high res LCD screen- Dot matrix =suq
)
• Bluetooth adapters which allow control and hi-fi wireless playback (expensive)
• Head Units with rear AUX inputs which keep the wires tucked away (requires more modding to dash if you need the ipod to navigate songs)

what he said. either that or any aftermarket deck will have red/white inputs in the back, and you can get a cord that has a headphone jack on one side, and a red/white on the other.
type-s bose system doesnt allow an ipod adapter so you need to replace the headunit or stick with the tape deck adaptor which is decent. There are a bunch of ipod-to-car adapters for the base models though.
