So I might be getting a JDM Front End for my daily/money pit and I was wondering:
Can a cop pull me over for having it on?

technically they can't issue a ticket for the HID's (if you go that route) because they are OEM. It's like a BMW or something. BUT... if they want to be dicks, and know their ****, they can ticket you for driving with a non DOT approved front end. Lights and crash rating etc.

I honestly doubt that any cop is really gonna know that much about it though. I've been driving my HID front end around for a long time, and never once been pulled over. And my R draws a lot of attention cause it's yellow. Good luck.

I highly dout that they'll look twice. Ive never have gotten pull over for it and probably never will. Besides, Its only illegal if you get caught.

 

Going on 6 months now, no issues for the front end nor 5-point G-Sport Harnesses.

On my way home from Expo I passed through Manchester TN and was rolled by 3-4 state troopers, and passed over 30 Sheriff/State Troopers for Bonnaroo. No hassle, no issues.

 

I doubt any would be wise enough to notice... I've often wondered though if somebody would get wise on H badges, is there any legalities to misbadging?

 

if they pull you over they wouldnt try to hassle u w/ ur front end. since ur in california popos will probably send u to a state reff if they see that u have an aftermarket exhaust.
