Hello, I am trying to get some meaningful and useful information regarding the above tranny conversion.

I want to take out the stock Y1 (no LSD) cable box that came on my EF8 JDM CR-X B16A1 and replace it with an S80 (Helical LSD) from a JDM ITR B18C5.

I need to know step by step what is required to do this so I can convey it to my mechanic.

Please only reply if you really know what is involved in this specific conversion as the small differences in a similar conversion could create expensive complications.

so you wanna rip out your y1 cable box
and put in a s80 ITR box that is hydro

you need the transmission, a hydro clutch and pressure plate, (mounts and brackets) and a conversion kit, there are many type of cable to hydros out there

 

what about axles civicstar?

so basically:
Tranny
Clutch
Cable to hyrdo converter

is that it?
mounts etc?

 

u can use your old axels, axles only go with with intermediate shaft you have
