Well, so I just today I realize that VIR has WiFi, so here I am posting while watching the Novice group out on track under the concession stand.

So here's the story... on my first run this morning with Hunter instructing, we were having a freshening up session. Things were fairly smooth until the last lap just under the bridge at turn 7. I saw something out on track, and to my surprise and Hunter's it wasn't a mirage.

This is what ran out....


Oh **** !!!

So I dipped left... and hoped that damn thing would just keep going. My offroad adventure was the first of my trip. That crazy hog even turned back and tried to commit suicide.

That was quite the laugh once we got the checkered at Oak Tree.

Fairly well, but how can you surf and talk on the phone and watch the action? ... dayum!

You heading back to Wisconsin soon? I think I am skipping the last session.... errr.... maybe in 8 minutes I will start.

haha yeah man we're just getting our directions and then we're heading back. Have a safe trip, it's been fun.

Nice groundhog. Did you guys see the clip of the Daytona Prototype(?) smacking one at full speed at Watkins Glen (I think it was there) a year or two ago? That was insane!!! Darn rodent just blew up!

Dan and Nick (race control) were telling me about the turtle crossing the track. One of the workers called it in:

"Control, this is five. I've got debris on the track."

"Copy five."

"Control, hang on. My debris just moved."
