Are you driving hard? Burn outs? high rpm launches? canyon run? bad tires?

i used to get some specs of rubber all over my rear bumper from canyon runs.

If you're boosted or running a test pipe, it's normal.

You gotta get a crazy exhaust that shoots all the crap straight into outer space, like mine.

def not a oil leak lol a leak usually comes from seals/gaskets in the FRONT of the car not through the exhaust...i run it hard sometimes so i guess thats wats up its not like crazy bad i just notice it whenever i go to wash it. im sure whenever i rip through gears its bound to put out a little black smoke..

the piston is one of the most common places on hondas to have an oil leak, because for one...the engine revs so highly, and no matter how good your oil rings are...after so much time at 8-9k, they will wear and tear. small amounts of oil will start pass through, and you car will naturally just burn it up and pass it out as exhaust, hence why you see black smoke.

you definetly have an oil leak, be it small, or large, if you start to see black suit devoloping around your bumper

I had the same thing till I got my krankvents. Now the back stays relatively clean. Definately not as much soot as before, almost none now.

Lets just get this straight. Im seeing some crappy info getting thrown around here. I really doubt its because he has blow by.

Black Smoke= Rich, unburnt fuel.
White Smoke/Sweet Smelling= Coolant
Bluish Smoke= you're fuked. IE...buring oil.

my integra burns oil, and it is black, not blue.

rich fuel buring won't leave caked soot in your exhaust, or leave dust around your bumper...will it? if he knows the soot is coming from his exhaust, then its oil imo.

btw...white smoke almost always means you have blown a head gasket.

Well then you must be blind or you aren't looking hard enough. I'll let you believe what you want to though. Just keep in mind I'm %100 correct. Research it.

As for the part I bolded. A blown headgasket is what causes coolant to burn in most cases. So I was right there too.

Read that.
