Tinting tail lights
I want to tint my tail lights. What percent tint do use to make them dark, but still visible? I've also heard that some companies make kits for this?

You should not be using window film at all.
Go get some VHT nightshades
Then sand your lights down using some 220 grit. Then throw on some VHT nice and even on both lights so they look even. After I was done with that I used an assload of clear to add some depth to it. Then wet sanded and polished. Just remember that a little goes a long way with the VHT stuff

And everything lit up

Lamin-X is an option. They sell all different colors of film. This way, you can remove it at anytime if you decide to go another route. http://lamin-x.com

Never been pulled over for it when I had the car. But I did not go crazy with it... during the day... it was just a light tint
