Default Third Gear sticking????

So I have an '07 Si with alittle over 2000 miles on it, and for some reason every once in awhile(usually when the car is cold) third gear won't go in all the way and it'll grind on me. It's only usually when its cold, or at some other random time. It doesn't to it with I shift a high RPMs however...not that I have problem with shifting at high RMS , its just not very economical around town. I'm wondering if the syncro might be going out, or I've heard that Honda has a new tranny fluid out and maybe I need to have mine changed...any help would be apriciated

Thanks

your not the only one
its a common problem with the dc5/si's (6-speeds)
we call it an "invisible wall"
the best thing you can do is upgrade your tranny fluid
i hear royal purple makes a huge difference
i still have yet to try it

07 Si owner and yes I too have that invisible wall others talk about and plan on harrasing the stealership into changing out the tranny fluid! I suggest you use the warranty that your car was bought with and get it handled

Your search for '3rd gear' returned 7 results.- (IN the '06 Civic forum)</TD></TR></TABLE>

Try other keywords like grind, gear, third, 3rd, shifting, etc.

I would try to get the trans fluid swapped out soon -- pref. for free by the dealership or check out my DIY in the sticky.
