Default dcrh question

i have been reading on clubrsx.com about how the dcrh makes you run lean on just a cai on a 05 type s. I have read this numerous times everywhere and so far i have only heard good results from the bcrh. so i do have a set of dcrh and a dumb friend with a base model rsx who buys all my leftover parts that i dont need no matter what it is. jp lol. so if i do get the buddyclub i can sell the dcrh to him. so anyways what i am asking if it is true? does it really make you or me run lean? i heard this alot and really will like to know. thanks

on a 05-06 type-s, a i/rh will be fine
i/rh/e is pushing it
i/rh/e/reflash is overboard
btw, if you sell your friend your raceheader then he needs to get a type-s/aftermarket exhaust to bolt up to it

well, its ok
its the best bang for buck
for the buddy club costing twice as much, its not going to be twice as better
but to sum it up, if you can afford it
get the toda/bc/ssr
if you cant, then the dc/strup/megan+testpipe
those are the main options

the OBX is also the same exact design as DCRH for even less.. but yeah the BCRH made some gains in the torque area.. as for lean i think youll be ok running a stock exhaust behind it, if not yer gona need some tune action going on to help you out... if your not getting kpro you need to invest in a wideband to be sure.

wouldn't the BC run more lean then the DC since the exhaust flow is better?

ok go to goole look up PLX m300 thats a wideband we use for tunning... now the primary 02 sensor on an rsx is a great wideband and when combined with k pro is great... but a wideband basicly reads air fuel ratios... and tells you rich lean or your percentage inbetween the two.. optimal is right around 14.7 or 12 at boost, typicaly, a wideband is a very important tool to prevent engine destruction..

hey is dcrh worth than stock header of 05 type-s? if dcrh aint worth over stock then i'm gon' have to take those dcrh off my 05 type-s. the stock is more like 4-1 but has smaller diameter than dcrh.

any raceheader (even the dc) is better than stock
no cat always outperforms with cat
