Default CRV turbo question

2001 CR-V

If I were wanting to run an ODB1 ECU, would I need an ODB2a-ODB1 harness or an OBD2b-ODB1 harness?

well we havent decided yet but my wife has the CRV. It's ok in the city but on the highway, you can't even maintain speed uphill without downshifting which all but winds the engine all the way out yet making little difference.

Thinking of going with a chipped P06 auto, DSM 390's, (t25 or maybe a K03), SMIC. Shooting for +40wtq or so. Wouldn't be a speed demon by any means. Just needs a little low-end oomph.

I've also gotta figure out if the ECU handles any of the AWD engagement. I've heard it both ways. Havent gotten a definite on it yet.

If I'm not able to use a chipped ECU, I'd probably go with either an emanage or an S-AFC and water injection.
