dumb question- will any spring work on a coilover sleeve?

i know its dumb but never really thought about this.

I bought a civic shell, it has some cheap coilover sleeves on it already. I have some old neuspeed race springs laying around but the drop is little lower than i wanted with the H2b swap

Can i just use these neuspeed springs on the cheap little coilover perch?

well, as long as the springs fit on the coilover collar, the top mount, and is not toooooo long. than yes.
