Default cv joint replaced, now grinding noise when turning?

Mechanic installed a new cv joint and now when the wheel is turned and accelerating normally, there is this vibration grinding noise coming from that wheel. What could this be a symptom of?

I posted previously about the tranny fluid dripping out and him not replacing any of it but I'm not sure if just having less than full mtf would cause this grind at low speeds. There definately is 'some' in there but as someone told me, when I had the car jacked up to get at the fill plug, it would natually slosh out. I had the car level and opened it with nothing leaking out and could not feel the lower level of fluid with my finger but doesn't this thing hold 2 quarts?

Go back to him right away. He should have test drove it, to make sure it was okay.

check if the dust shield behind the disc is touching. i had mine replaced and it was slightly rubbing and causing a grinding noise.
