Default chipped ecu help

So I finallygot myecu chipped and they added vtec and wired it up to the ac relay but I dont hear it hit like my oldsingle cam that I used a vafc2.

Do you think that the relay is bad I needto talk to some one with experience in adding vtec to ecus and wiring them up

why is it hooked up to the ac relay? hook it up direct to the solenoid to computer. as well as the oil pressure switch

bevause the guy that chipped the ecu said it hadto be run through the asswitch in the ecu and then to a relay.

Is there a better way of doing this?

Itsnot running throught the harness it self its coming out of the ecu and into a relay that is mounted inside the car and then to solenoid.

I dont have the pressure switch hooked up iether. Someone please help if you look please give me some insight I am new to running chipped ecus but I hjave heard that vafc is just a hack and a chipped ecu is better

what ecu is it? if its a ps9 you can wire it direct to the solenoid the ps9 sends out 12v+, if its anything else, you have to wire it so the ecu trips the relay. I beleive the ecu grounds the circuit. You do need a relay but you can use any 4 prong automotive relay. Maybe your relay is bad, just wire one up to the proper pin on the ecu. Just look up how to wire a relay its pretty simple, the ecu would be your switched ground.

Ok the ecu is a pr4 I have to ac relays that I got at the junkyard.

I am going to run the wire from the ecu (ac output) to the relay and them from the relay to the vtec soleniod.

What do I do for the pressure switch? ground it out?

thanks for your help.

figure out which wire on the ecu is the pressure switch wire. that connects to one end on the pressure switch. the other connects to the ground.

Hold on,,Is this one of these chipped ecu's for a 1-wire vtec setup? If so theres no need for the pressure switch at all....You just run the wire from the ecu to a relay then from the relay to the vtec solenoid.......But its meant to use the a/c relay that way you dont have to run all sorts of wires except the 1 from the a/c relay to the solenoid..

To use a normal 4 way relay you would hook up 86 and 30 to a fused 12v+,85 goes to the ecu a/c clutch, and 87 would go to the vtec solenoid
