Default Hasport Mounts problem.

A friend of mine bought these mounts from Hasport http://hasport.com/shop/produc...id=39 . These where supposed to take a B16 engine in an stock 1.3l EF civic without doing any modifications to the hod. Actually that what Hasport said when asked. The problem is that the engine still sits a bit high and the hood will not close ! Do you think there is something wrong ?

Thanks in advance .

No such thing as a 1.3L EF but to answer your question, to my knowledge, nothing is wrong. I don't know why but some people have hood clearance issues and some don't. I had to use hood spacers...

My b16a hit the vc softly, and the b18c it hit a lot. spacers, its last years JDM anyways.

Haha, good call. I'm still not used to this whole international thing.

It's very rare that a B16A would touch the hood, although sometimes the B16B and B18C engines touch. When we originally deesigned the kit we put a B18C just cleared the hood. We were trying to maximize clearance. It turns out there is enough variation in the cars that some had contact on the valve cover. Most of the time a couple of spacers under the rear of the hood gives the needed clearance.

I love my Hasport mounts. My b16 touched the hood but you couldn't really tell when driving. I haven't had a problem with mine. But now I've got the JDM front so I don't have a problem in the world.
