I know it doesnt look hard to make but just think about what it does,and what the thing means for the cars balance,suspension and rigidigity..
But yes you can make your own,i made my own..Just didnt have a mount on the front since I was running a b16 with 3 mounts

zenon8890,
the most important aspect of the bar is that you follow the factory mounting points, theres some good info on WesV's page about a crossmember he made.
the thing is he had an aftermarket one to modify, which made it easier for him.

Zenon;
I'm the individual that wrote that page and the link works for me.
Maybe it's due to where you are located (Jordan) and the web provider there.
Try this;
Do a Yahoo web search on "Wes Vann's" and you should find a link to Wes Vann's Honda Page. That's the root page and if you go through the index, you will see the write-up covering the cross-member.
Please let me know if that works.

There was a thread a while back where someone was asking about traction bars and another individual posted your website,but the original poster couldn't get in at all,he was from new zealand..

not trying to steal bandwidth... just trying to show the OP a picture.. the link won't work because his ISP's DNS server won't resolve the address... coming from yahoo, or another link won't matter

you should check out: http://www.ExplicitSpeedPerformance.net, they made their own traction bar and they could help you out too.
I've got no problem with anybody posting up a photo from my site. Just be careful about the link as there are normally two different sizes of the JPG. One is the one viewed on the page and the other is "linked" to and is about twice the viewing size (4 times the pixels).
Just to end it all, here is a photo of pretty much the finished product.

You have to keep in mind that I wanted to address a couple specific issues I have with most cross-members out there.
One issue is ground clearance. I've now got pretty much stock clearance.
Another is the front engine support. I welded on brackets for the front engine mount I had built.
Still another is being able to jack it from the center. Most (all) aftermarket cross-members are not strong enough to jack from (unless you are off to the side). Mine handles it with ease.
Another thing to keep in mind is that I "modified" a cross-member that originally came from Place Racing (no longer in business). There are similar bars out there that could be used as the starting point.
I'm running a full width DA radiator and it sits in the stock location.
