Default USDM B18c5 harness on a JDM B18cR??

I have a JDM B18c-R motor being shipped to me. My original plan was to pay a shop to build me a harness.
What I want to know is, will a USDM b18c5 harness plug right into my JDM motor??
Will everything hook up right, or will it still need to be modified?
Does anyone have any experience w/ this?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it will. I used my JDM harness that came with the motor with my chassis harness.

Apex i ITR,
Are you saying that you used the JDM engine harness and plugged it into your chassis harness?? How is that possible? The JDM harness is for RHD.

Dark lotus,
What do you mean, you hope it works? Have you not plugged it all in and started it up yet?
The reason I ask about the USDM ITR harness is because there is one in the classifieds right now.

Im getting my motor from http://www.hondamotorsonline.com
Steve is awesome!!!!

It will plug in, but you will be missing a few sensors on the jdm itr motor, so a few plugs will go unused. For convience, run the jdm itr ecu as well.

Thank you, Jedi Master.
I am actually going to be using a Kenji rechipped p28 ECU.
I just wanted to make sure there was not going to be a problem w/ harness plugging in.

Thanks to everyone for the info!!!

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. It actually reaches even though its on the other side.

You will also need to get a USDM vtec solenoid from any b series motor (JDM B series motors have the vtec oil pressure tapped off) if you are using a Kenji ECU (That's what I'm doing).

Like i said the JDM engine harness reaches to the chassis harness (I will eventually pay for a USDM harness)

Do you guys know if the year of the ITR harness matters?
Will a '01 harness fit the same as a '98?
My motor is a '97.

Thanks again for all your help, guys!

doesnt matter, its all obd2. But yeah, you do need to buy a usdm vtec solenoid. JDM itr's are missing the vtec pressure switch.

Thanks again, jedi.
Kenji told me that I would need to get a usdm solenoid, so I am already in the process of purchasing one of those.

I appreciate all the help.
