Any d-series hydro tranny will fit.

any 92-00 d-series clutch.

An ex tranny would be a killer upgrade for your cx if you are planning on modifying it later on.

Well, if you want a dx/cx tranny will be fine. The dx tranny has a little bit shorter gears, and still has that hella long 5th that the cx has. So for your daily you'll still get good mpg.

But whatever floats your boat holmes.
