Bulldog adhesion promoter
Anyone ever use this stuff?
I've tried it twice now and I'm having problems. I used it as a base coat on my bumper and for some reason when I paint over it, the topcoat cracks after it dries completely, usually a couple days later. Well, it looks like cracks, but the paint doesn't chip or peel or anything. Anyone have any advice?

Actually, I tried mixing it with my primer as a flex agent. Meh, maybe I am just putting it on too thick or not letting it flash enough. I use 2-3 coats and allow to flash for about 15 minutes as directed, but maybe I put it on too wet.

I think I know what you mean, you are spraying your base too wet, try using faster reducer in base, and do lighter coats instead of loading on the base, let it flash between the coats.
I was convinced that it was the best stuff out there and used it for years ,till I had big chunks of paint flake off on new bumper on my 95 Impala SS about 7-8 years ago when I hit a racoon , since then I stopped using this crap and did more research to find "Plastic Magic" by USC(Urethane Supply Company)

also forgot to mention, when you spray bulldog on medium to wet on large panels, it appears after the clear has set and is ready to buff, it's very hard to polish it out, it becomes rubbery and hazy ,it almost wants to wrinkle, and give it few days it will slightly die back, I used to spray it over new hoods, fenders before shooting base and found this out , and it doesn't matter which paint system you use, I'd say," stay away from it!! "and invest in real adhesion promoter if you don't want to have problems, especially if you solely rely on this product and expect it to work without prepping parts for mechanical adhesion, either way,
I found out it's not working all that great on black TPO plastics
hope I can be proven wrong by painters on here that actually have seen their work months and years after they used this product on customer's or their own vehicle, not just experience from applying this product or using it with conjunction with different paint systems, but taking this product to the test and seeing if it actually work like it says on the can.
So bring it on, boys

Well I painted my chrome bumper and used the bulldog and just sanded the chrome a little with 320 and went at it. Its been a year and the only paint that has come off if from off roading it and the bumper being pushed into gravel.
