Default Question about cams on a B18B please share some opinions

Hey guys, i have decided to do a little build on my head before i go turbo. I was looking at cams for the LS head but can't find too many, what companies make them? I saw a add in d-sport for crower cams and they said they had a turbo and NA cam. Claimed a 16-20 hp differnece with the NA cams. Now my question is, how bad would it be to run the N/A cam and boost with like 6-8 psi? thats all im probably going to do, and it seems the N/A cam will give me a little kick before i slap the turbo on. And also if thats a bad idea, then what would the turbo cam do for me? would it be bad to put on before i went turbo? Thanks for any help, im new to forced induction and never done aftermarket cams before so im just trying to get things straighted out.

250-300 with plenty of room to improve. im graduating in about 2 years so after that i will end up buying a new car and just turning this one into a project car.

My goal is that range also. I was trying to go all out (cams, port/polish, retainers/daul springs) and was told for that whp goal that all you really need is a valve job.

well im def doing a port and polish but im still wondering about getting those NA cams since i'd like some power before i put on my turbo kit which prob won;t happen for another year. i guess i need to sort through the ls/turbo set up thread and see what people are running. has anyone done a crazy N/A b18b build? i know most people that go N/A def go the ls/vtec route.

you can make those numbers on a bone stock engine, assuming it's healthy. you've got to do some serious work to a b18a/b head to get it flowing anywhere near what a stock b16/18c head does.
