snapped e-brake cable

Default snapped e-brake cable

My ebrake cable snaped, wile i was teaching my girl how to drive. I was wondering if i can use a cable of from a 96 civic hatch with drums . My car is a 93 civic hatch, with gsr disk brakes in the rear. Is there a diffrents between drum an disk cables.?

i have 1 cable from a 94 civic coupe.

im using them on my rear disks (also from a 94 coupe)

Coupe/hatch rear drum cables should be compatible. The wheelbase is the same.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

incorrect. drum cables will not work with disk brakes.

and i had to move the mounting brackets for my coupe cables to fit my hatch. im unsure if the 94 coupe cables will work with gsr discs, but i think they should

That's what I said, coupe/hatch DRUM cables. Dx coupes did come with drums.

they wont because he has discs.

my bad, I thought he was saying he had drums.

With gsr disk brakes in the rear, SI hatch cables will work like a champ.

multi colored after it was blocked down. its going through a slow piece by piece paint process.

in my avatar the color is walmart rattle can red which looks pink
