What do you think is wrong with this engine? It should have less than 40,000 miles on it "Jap Crate", they used my old parts except for the block and head. I removed a/c belt and PS belt so I know its the engine! it has a new water pump and timing belt! Seem's really loud to me HELP PLEASE!

Have you adjusted your valves? Your alternator also sounds a bit loud.

I stopped by the shop today, they think its a rod getting ready to come thru the block! New engine in by friday with any luck! thank god for 12 month or 12000 mile's!

Thats a load of bs. I don't hear any knock. Your valves need adjusting and check the tension on your belts. I changed my gf's t-belt on her 96 V6 and it was a little tight and made a similar noise until it loosened up aabit, now its fine. But as far as your engine about to crap out on ya, I very seriously doubt it.

 

Im getting a new engine, dropping it off monday morning! 2 mechanic's said it a rod knocking! The installer agreed, its a bad engine! He's p.o.'d worse than me!
I'll be on the road in this car in a week. Late

I think I can hear a knock but very slightly. Very hard to hear in the vid.

 

well it sounds like a rod to me but a power steering pump going bad will sound like that as well but im sure its a rod

 

sounds like a water pump.....

and yes your valves need adjusting
