CEL 45
I searched it up a bit, but didn't really find what I wanted. Since us "R" guys stick together, give me some advice.
I'm throwing a CEL 45 (fuel system too lean/too rich) and my car does run very rich at idle, and sounds like it pings on 91 octane with booster under normal driving conditions. I did some research, and it seems like my problem is a faulty O2 sensor. Makes sense.
I don't have any other codes, and O2's are pretty spendy. I'm thinking that the primary is the one that needs to be replaced, would anyone care to comment? I don't have a different one to try out, and where I live, no one else would either. LOL.
I'm willing to shell out to buy the primary from the dealer, but I just want any advise I can get. Sensors have 57k on them. Stock exhaust/cat/ecu. Car is '01 OBD-IIb

I was throwing a CEL 45 earlier this year. In my case it was a valve adjustment that cleared everything up for me.
But during my research, I found that when most people had a CEL 45 it was a matter of replacing a faulty Primary O2 sensor.
To save yourself some $$$, try switching your primary and secondary 02 sensor around. If a CEL pops up for a faulty secondary 02, once you reset your ECU and drive for a while, then you will know that it was a fouled Primary 02 sensor that was causing the CEL45.
I hope this helps.
