Is there any way to fix this scratch on my cf hood? I remember there was a post on some 3m polishing thing. Would that fix the scratch?

 

Depends on how deep the scratch is. The gelcoat on a CF hood is just like the clear on your car. So either you can just use some pollishing compound and buff it out. Or touch it up with some automotive clear then westand it flat and buff it back to gloss.

 

I had some action like that on a carbon part a while back, I had it wet sanded and clear coated. Looked good as new when it was done

 

Worst case scenario , you can always sand it all the way down until its not there, then clean it completly and have it cleared. I work at a body shop and my friend jeff has done this to my friend kneenans hood. His hood looks BRAND NEW , no exageration
