Default >>>EK engine wiring help!!!<<<

I have a 96 EK hatch (OBDIIa) with a 00 SI b16A2 (OBDIIb) ON THE SIDE.

the problem is i dont know how i am going to do the wiring in my car.

some of my friends say to convert to OBDI and some say to stick with OBDII.
the best plan i heard was to keep it OBDIIa by finding a 97 DEL SOL VTEC p30 ecu to run with my 00 SI. but they are rare

what is the best/fastest way to do this without spending an arm and leg.

can someone just give me the BEST way without so many options because it is already to confusing already. any help or advise will help thanks.

P30 is your best option for a stock ECU. Even if you buy an OBD1 ecu, use a conversion harness and wire the car OBD2a so you can run a "stock" ecu as a backup plan.

1.Get an obd2-obd1 conversion harness from one of the 100's of suppliers.
2.Get an obd1 ecu such as the p30 or you can use a p28 which will be easier to find. Make sure your basemap is for a b16.With the p30 you can still use a knock sensor, p28s dont have that option
3.All the engine wiring will be the same, should just be plug and play with the exception of running wires for vtec etc..

use your cx wiring harness for the motor and just add vtec wires or get a 96-98 ex wiring harness.
get a conversion harness and run obd1 chipped p28 or a p30
if interested i have a 96 p30 usdm for sale
