Default 90 Accord EX stuck in high gear...need help ASAP!!

The car is a 90 accord ex automatic. The car was working just fine, went to drive it again and it would hardly move when it was in gear. When i shift it manually it goes fine. but for some reason regular drive is stuck in high gear.

Also for some reason theere is a box under my dash called a "Inter lock control",. When i start the car or turn the key on its start clicking. When i apply the brake it stops. I unpluged this box and used antother key to put my car in drive, and it was still stuck in high gear.

Can anyone help?

put the key in and turn it to the 'on' position....the 'D4' or 'S' light should come on a couple seconds and then turn off. If the light stays on I'd suspect the TCU is bad.

You can also check for Trans codes by jumpering the Blue 2 pin connector;

Does the car not down shift?

As in when driving, and the car shifts into 3rd gear, and you go to slow down at a light does the car not down shift, so when you start to go again its very slow, as in like its trying to move while in 3rd gear?

When i first start the car, i put it in drive. The car does not move cuz its in 4th gear. I have to manually put it in 1st gear. And when i manuually shift the car, it wont shift into third or forth gear.

take your TCM out and open it up to see if there are any burnt spots on it. If there are, replace it.
