It's necessary for your EVAP system. You'll throw a couple codes if you remove it all.

Uh to a vacuum line off the manifold or on the tb but I have such a nice block off plate on there now and don't want to take it off plus I have an obd0 map sensor thats firewall mounted on my eg.

Map has nothing to do with the evap charcoal canister or the purge valve for that fact so thats irrelevant.

It is just a "vent" if you will from the gas tank that gets cleaned via charcoal and vented back into you intake manifold kinda like the pcv system.

I will actually revent it to next to the filler cap when I drop the tank to go stainless fuel lines from the tank to an inline fuel filter so it doesn't vent into the engine bay.

no, i have a 94 hatch w/ 98 b18b1. its all stock except for the intake and rsr muffler, and its fast but it sucks too much gas. i know that the canister is missing one vac line on the pcv, and the sensor on the top of the intake manifold isnt connected because the harness thats in the car now doesnt have the right adaptor for it. lmk if you know where i should hook the pcv vac. line or if i need to get a diff connector for the sensor on the intake manifold

id run the evap canister because it throws codes and turns on the CE light...also makes the inside smell like gas/exhaust fumes. kinda racecar style i guess if you like the smell. lol.
