Default what do you guys think is good price for this 92 sir?

it a SIR. guy is asking 4250 CAD. i called him and made an offer(if everything checked out of course) of 3500.. he then said he would do it for 3800. car only has 202, 000km which is around 120, 000 miles. it was owned by 1 owner, a 80yr old man. has no rust. claims he has alot of the maintainance records.. i'm going to go check it out in a few hours. please let me know how much you guys would pay cause i dont wanna get ripped off. also maybe recommend what i should look out for with these cars, like problem areas. thanks guys.

oh and he doesn't know when the timing belt was last changed.. i think i'm gonna use that as leverage to try and get him to come down more.

Check for smoke from the engine when you crank it up and while on the highway...Get a carfax...drive it for a long time and throw $3500 cash in his face if all checks out good!!! Good luck man....

well i couldn't throw 3500 in his face because i'm waiting on an insurance settlement for my 4g accord.. i got 1500 and they're gonna give me 2k and the car which isnt a bad deal for a 90exr with 218k and a good deal of rust. i'd have to put a deposit on it and wait a few days to pay the rest.

There is no SIR, in Canada you have the S, SR and SR-V.

yup turns out it was a fricken SR non-vtec. the guy agreed to 3500 but i think thats too much. had some minor bubbles on the back near where the rear bumper meets up, put a magnet to it and it wouldn't stick.. so somebody did a bondo job.

won't find any preludes in canada without bondo in rear corner panels lol.

some one should make after market corner panels that fold up in to managable sizes or shipping! that don't rust. and don't dent when brother's bicycle falls and hits side of car, than slides down with handle bars along the whole side of car while falling and leaves the ugliest scratch you've ever seen

i cried like a little girl.....im almost crying now just thinking about it... damn!

I had a bit of rust on each quarter. I repaired one myself and let the paint shop do the other when they did the car. Guess which side is still rust free after a year

If there was only one owner of that car, how does he not know when the last timing belt service was done? And if it's non-vtec i don't think it's worth it unless you wanna turbo the car. If you want to go N/A you'll be kicking yourself later.

Edit: What part of Canada ?

he claims he's selling it for an older man who moved to europe. he had all the oil change maintanance records. i test drove the thing, it ran like new, but then again don't all hondas that have been well kept. i want something thats fast, and that thing was barely faster than my old accord. oh and the car is out in the boonies 20 minutes out of windsor.
