so today I tried to install the rear JDM "H". I started off by using the dental floss but it got stuck. I looked under the trunk and found two white plastic pins that hold the "H" on. They're the kind you can just twist off, but they're stuck really tight. I tried everything to get 'em off. Has anyone else ran into this problem, and if so how did you get them unscrewed? I have a 2007 civic coupe lx. Blue Rocket did a D.I.Y. on this but didn't say anything about pins under the trunk lid. Maybe cause he has a SI?
I have a 07 SI coupe and well I too have those little numbs on the other side of my trunk. As far as taking your emblem off you need to get a needle nose plier and squeeze the little nipples so they can release the emblem of course after heating the emblem with a heat gun or blow dryer. Good luck to your JDM H install.
heat it? why?
I just used floss to separate the adhesive from the paint, then the only thing that holds on the emblem is the pins.
Push out the pins as mentioned above, the new red h will not fit these holes, very easily pull off the white part with the black seal ring... place these in the holes to seal it from water, then clip off the leftover black pins. Alignment is tricky but do-able.

It wll soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove the emblem. Heat makes it come off easier!

yes, they are all the same. this is what I did.
1. get fishing line and cut the adhesive from the bottom up to the pins.
2. then, with the fishing line, pull straight out/up depending on what angle you have the trunk at. This
should cause the emblem to pop right up out of the pins.
3. Then just pull the emblem off or cut the adhesive with the fishing line.
4. The stick the new JDM "H" on.
This was much easier than trying to pull the pins off from the underside. Thats pretty much impossible.

If you use the floss to seperate, you can just pull on the emblem and it will pop off. Don't be afraid to use some force. Otherwise, take off the interior trunk panel and release the tabs from the inside after seperating the adhesive.
