Timing belt question
are you wanting ignition timing or cam timing?
make sure the crank pulley is aligned, and the cam gear to positioned properly. both have marks to tell you where TDC is.
I just find it easier to set TDC before i take the belt off, lock in the cam gear so it doesnt move, and then slap it back together. a little late for that though.
and FYI... there is a FAQ in the FAQ thread that will tell you everything you need to know.
so no time wasted waiting for someone to reply.

I'm wanting cam timing... The car starts up just fine, but it makes this rapid idling noise. Do you think that I didn't set the timing right?
And I'll check the FAQ next time, thanks

if its running then the timing cant be very far off.
where is the noise coming from? the timing belt area or the valve cover?
if its the valve cover? did you do a lash adjustment on the valves?
