I was about to ask this same question.
I recently bought this, but I have mixed feelings about the purchase.
Only mod to the car is the exhaust system (5zigen Fireball), and well, the OEM 4-1 header.
Maybe I jumped the gun and should have gotten some more bolt ons 1st?

It never hurts to get a proper tune, even if you only have a couple boltons.
The PowerFC is a great unit, and it is a bonus that it comes with OBD2a plugs for us '97/'98 guys.

i run an fc w/ a b18c that has only an apexi gt manifold, skunk intake and DC DAC...the benefits of being tuned as 92TypeR said, even with a few bits, are great. With these setups you want maximum performance with the most efficiency possible and a plug and play stand-alone like the fc gives you that.
granted you need to go see a PowerExcel tuner, but there are plenty around like Jack in South Carolina as mentioned, Jeff Evans, etc.
not to mention, the commander is a nice piece to have to monitor stuff like water temp, vacuum, knock, peak hold stuff, etc...

I'm about to install this once my build gets finished. Mr. Harris will be tuning her.
