Tanabe Sustec ADJUSTABLE strut tower bar
Hi Folks!
I've just got my Tanabe Sustec front strut tower bar.
It has "adjustable preload" feature
On the Tanabe's website there is a short explanation about this:
Adjustable Preload
A very common error when installing tower bars, It is always recommended to raise the vehicle when installing so that the load of the shock uppermounts on the shock towers is relieved and balanced out. When raised, and the tower bar is placed onto the vehicle, the preload can be adjusted and set. After it is bolted on and the car is lowered, each shock tower will have equal load and will prevent independent movements of each shock. This will provide an extremely noticeable difference after installing. If a tower bar is installed on a car that is not raised, great benefits will be missed.
Does somebody knows how can I determine that the preload will be enough?
The writing above only says the it can be adjusted when the vehicle is raised, but doesn't say that how can I set this preload

Considering that my Honda doesn't even have "struts" on it, I have never even looked into replacing my stock "strut bar" with something aftermarket. Even during autocross, I can't feel the difference with the bar on or off.
Considering this, I doubt too many people have bothered to try and see if "preloading" a strut bar will make a difference.
