Default dohc zc code 8 (searched)

While I was at the track tonight, ECU started throwing code 8, which is TDC sensor. I have read that this is in the distributor. Could the timing belt have just jumped a couple teeth? Or could the TDC sensor just quit working out of nowhere. It bogs / misfires under 2500 RPM, but after that it is fine. Would it be safe to drive for around a month until I have time to replace it?

That code usually does come out of no where..I got the code when i was 1000 miles from home..Car lasted a while though,I just kept re-setting the ecu untill it didnt do any good..The bearing was completly toast,Ive read that what happens is it heats up all the internals and fries the sensors.

The cheapest new 88 integra distributor ive ever seen is about $200 so I dont know, maybe get a used working one? but how long will that last

I already have the obd-1 distributor, I am going turbo in a month or so, and I don't really have the time right now to replace the distributor. I am going to try and reset the ECU. Thanks for help

another sensor broke again today, I guess this is the beginning to the whole dist. frying. Was driving and shifted to third gear, car bogs horribly stops making power, i release throttle and car backfires and cuts off. Check the codes throwing #3, which is MAP sensor. Is this from the distributor, or is there something else that could have broken it?

MAP sensor is on the firewall right above your throttle body. That code could mean a bad sensor, wiring, or both. If you have the Helms manual, follow the flowchart on testing the circuit and sensor.
