anybody run ~185/70/15? I got great mileage after dropping to 195/65/15
I assume this is probably the closest ratio to the stock 205/55/15 in the 185 class. Handling and cornering with the 195 was just as good as the 205. I'm no speed demon so I was wondering if anybody has tried 185 without losing too much handling
why the hell would you do that? less rubber touching road = less cornering traction...thats just physics. also a taller tire makes the gear ratios higher so the car will accel slower
maybe you already know this and are just a *****?

Hey fatso Walrus quit being another idiot acting tough on the internet. And Einstein there are a lot more variables than fatter tire = better grip. Try reading something http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html although yes less sidewall is better in my experience but this car is a daily driver and I drive 80 miles a day on Cal. Highway so mileage is more important. Read the question moron I'm not looking to go Mario Andretti in stop and go traffic.
During the winter I run 195/65/15 Snow Tires and my mileage drops. The slower acceleration causes me to drive it harder.
Handling obviously sucks.........
Walrus, quit being an E-Tough guy.....youre not cool.
