Default Tire Recommendation Dunlop or Yokos?

Got a 97 GSR with Konig 15's with some worn out Kumho SPT's 195/55/15
I don't see the SPT's on TireRack any more in my size, what's a good replacement w/o breaking the bank?
Are the Dunlop Direzza 101 205/50/15 or Yokohama S. Drive 195/55/15 a good replacement?
I was happy with the SPT's life, I mananged 32k miles out of them and would like a tire with the same characteristics as the SPT's

S. Drives are a good choice. I hear Fuzion ZRi is good too.

Yup. The Yokohama S.drive and Fuzion ZRi are both good summer tires. They're similar on dry pavement; the ZRi is better than the S.drive in rain. And both are better than the DZ101. The S.drive is available in 195/55 and 205/50, costs less in 195/55. The ZRi is only available in 205/50.

I like the SPT on my GS-R; if I had to replace them today, I'd probably get the ZRi.

So the SPT's have been discontinued in 195/55/15?

It doesn't perform anywhere near as well as the S.drive or ZRi. In many sizes it's cheaper than those though. Your trade-offs, your choice.

Also, don't rely on the user reviews on the Tire Rack website. Because they come from people who have only used one tire, they are not valid for comparison purposes. Some of the worst tires have some pretty good reviews. The side-by-side test results on their website provide far better information for use in comparing tires.
