Default h-brace anyone????

i was wondering if anyone here has an h brace on their ride. planning to put one on my 96 hatch and want to know if it is worth the time and money? also my hatch is dropped about 1.75 in front and about 1.5 on back will the h brace hit speed bumps, ground, etc?

If you're looking at that Megan H brace, the build quality on it is pretty sketchy unless they've improved it. It's made from crushbent hollow stock, and the crossbar on the one I had for a couple days hit my stock cat. Ground clearance is also pretty bad, but it does line up with the front wheels, so theoretically it wouldn't snag on a speed bump unless you roll one front wheel over before the other(diagonally). Some of the other companies that make similar braces seem to be of better quality construction - NRG and Cusco's materials and welds look a lot better than the Megan and other generics that I've seen. As for actual performance, that's anyone's guess.

I think its well worth it. I bought a generic one off ebay and works like a charm my ride is slam too so it scrapes here and there. but over all, its worth it.

generic one is 10X's worse than Megan Racing.. The weak welds and crappy materials used translate to almost no positive change. I don't understand why people cheap out and buy crappy ****.

so your saying that the megan h brace is pretty good? and it is worth putting it on? someone just told me that his megan h brace broke on him in two months. but he did not tell me how low his drop was so i am not sure what to do now. i'm still thinking about what i am goin to do now. anymore inputs?

That guy was really happy with his NRG brace. Check out his review.
