Who has replaced the windshield on their R?
I had a hell of a time replacing mine through my insurance. I had some highway debris hit my car, and had to have some body work done, as well as the windshield replaced. The body shop I dealt with outsourced their glass work, like most do, and it took several attempts to get it right. The first two windshields were rippled, and didn't fit right, so the third time I demanded Honda glass. (The part number is the same for all Integra models.) After removing and replacing the windshield three times the cowl and A-pillar trim pieces had been damaged and some of the clips that hold the trim in place had broken, so I demanded that they replace those pieces as well.
I finally got it to where I was pleased with the work, but it wasn't easy.
Good luck.

I actually had Safelite come to my house and replace my windshield. I don't have stock honda glass, but I requested the blue sun tint along the top of the windshield. I was very pleased with their work. Of course I did stand 2 feet away from the car supervising the whole time.
One thing, is when they had the windshield out, I got out a vacuum, and vacuumed at the back of the dash. They sometimes leave little bits of the urethane glue in there.

I remember seeing reports, even recently, that the stock ITR windscreen was thinner than the other-Integra windscreen.
I'm wondering if anyone can verify this, or officially poo-phoo it by having actually compared an original ITR windscreen with an original other-Integra windscreen!

I was told by honda parts dude that he could not tell if there is a diff but the numbers are diff.
my windshield was replaced with a generic(non honda windshield) and I am pleased with the work(less than half an hour), the guy went to my work and the cost was $149.72, I also shopped around for the original honda windshield which they quoted me for 400 to 500 dollars. Their number is 8002254185 in irvine california.
i had my window replaced and the people that did it used a crapload of black sealant crap which made it hard for me to get my window liner moldings to go back in all the way.
I had my windshield replace for about 350. A ****** goose flew into my windshield when I was goin about 75MPH didn't **** up anything on the car and luckily he just shatterd the window and flipped over the car instead of crashing through into the passenger seat, that would have been an odd situation. Anyways my insurance wouldn't cover it because I have a 500 deductible.
Rock hit. Farmers was good and ok with using oem glass which was 400 more than PPG. I had to pay the deductible anyway.
I believe that USDM ITR has the same glass as the part #s are the same for all coupe 94-01. Verified myself. It is possiblt that the original glass could be thinner than the replacement OEM, yet dot approved. ITR glass seem to crack easier than the GSR anyway.

All US Integras have the same windshield.
I think we should make that a sticky or something
Mine was replaced. Demanded Honda glass. You'd never know it had been changed.

I had mine replaced last year. I took out a package policy on my ITR with a $50 deductible. I got a new windshield, the weather stripping trim and installed for $50 Canadian pesos. Not to shabby.
I am very pleased with the results. Everything was replaced with genuine Honda parts.
