Yeah, and you'll have lower compression and less power...

Do really do a poor man's r you need the entire valvetrain. Technically the b16 and ITR heads are the same, but the valvetrain/pistons/crank is even different.

Real poorman's R's end up being more costly than R swaps.

A stock poor mans' R and boost could be a good setup. I have yet to hear or see someone with it, but once your turbo'd you'll already be quicker then many other cars. But if you plan to stay n/a, a stock b16a head with a gsr block, will drop in compression by .2, someone correct me if im wrong, also it will yield a bit of power. But to make up that loss of compression, do a PnP on the head, possible valvetrain upgrades, aftermarket or oem(JDM CTR/ITR), higher cr pistons forged or oem(JDM ITR/CTR) along with supporting mods, then you'll have yourself a quick moving poorman's R, and a much higher cr then a gsr and maybe an itr and possibly outperform the two as well.

Yes but you need the 18c1 head gasket and head studs and timing belt.

If you want to do it right then get some ITR usdm or jdm pistons at minimum or P30 pistons.
That will range from 11:1 to 11.5:1 comp ratio.
upgrade valvetrain and cams to minimum of ITR/CTR.

Stock for stock a gsr head would be better than a b16 and type r head is hype ask me how I know.
Spend the 500.00 or so and have your head pnp'd and 3 angle valve job.

And my poorman's r has tallied up to what I like to call "not-so-poor-mans-R"

Definately not a poorman's build.

An LS turbo is a poor mans build
