Default Not sure if anyone has tried them......But I did - grounded plug wires

The other day I was browsing craigslist and found an ad for some 10.5mm grounded spark plug wires. Email the guy and tell him I will take them.

Go pick them up and they look decent. Made by a company called Forza (ends up being OBX and basically an ebay only company) Kinda look like a marginal Nology Hotwire copy.

So later that night I put them on my car, and start her up. Take it around the block, to my surprize something is causing my car to bog at anything more than 20% throttle. I go through a few things and rule everything out.

Put my old plug wires back on, problem goes away. Try new plug wires again, this time I left the ground unhooked, see if it helped.......no joke my exhaust had flames shooting out of it.

Called OBX and talked to Tommy. He is taking care of the whole situation.

Not real sure what happened, didn't bother checking them with an ohm meter, or testing them any further.

Not sure if anyone else has tried them, or had similar experiences but I didn't find anything when I searched.

That's odd...Something like that happend to me with some msd wires, but everyone said it was just "my car"..Don't know what to tell you

I dont really think it has anything to do with the grounds on the wires,,but just crappy wires in general, causing the spark to break up when it gets a little hot..

Probably no fire or misfire in a cylinder causing unburnt fuel to spew into the hot exhaust pipes. When that ish hits the cold air -- afterburn, yo .

take an ohm meter to the new wires. Maybe one of them is not letting power through.

I've seen Nology wires arc and ground out to the valve cover, causing misfires and lots of little sparks on a freind's integra LS back in the day. We took them off and put on OEM wires, and the car ran fine.

Yeah, I know.

Honestly....They were pretty cheap and looked nice. That was the only reason I picked them up.

Plug wires are plug wires.
I just wanted my bay to look a lil cleaner
