I HAVE A D15 BLOCK IN A CIVIC CX WHAT DO I NEED TO DO THE Y8 HEAD BUILD AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO GAIN FROM THIS BUILD?

i'm not gonna down it but i had a z6... threw a rod and then put in a y7-z6 mini-me swap and it made really shitty power i sold it... now i have a project ej1 that had a z6 and i swapped in a d15b... this is the most satisfying honda i've driven... besides my buddy's boosted b18c

 

The best option if to boost it, the mini-me isn't anything to write home about.

 

Yeah, like EK Forever guy said, do yourself a huge favor and while you're under there, throw in an EX tranny. I got mine basically for free and rebuilt it for a hundred bucks. Made me dig driving the car. Might be a good time for a clutch/flywheel upgrade too..

 

^^ Adding a fresh ex tranny and a new clutch/light flywheel made me actually enjoy driving my dx.
