REAL QUICK: 1999 honda civic front lip question?????
http://robearracing.com/pd_car...p.cfm
Is this the SAME lip that comes on the 1999-2000 honda civic si. I just want to make sure this is the same style and the OEM one, just in CARBON FIBER!

That's the typical aftermarket ctr/si style lip that actually juts out too far.
It's not exactly the same as an oe from lip from and honda dealer worldwide, they just don't stick out that much on the lip.
Put them side by side with an OE one and you can tell.
Looks good either way though, nice find.

dont forget to add that OEM (Si Model vs Style Type)has better mounting location then aftermarket lip.

Hard telling.
You could always get the CF ctr style lip from http://www.jdmshit.com
I know first-hand that it fits well.

anything OEM will probably fit best, and if your lucky the aftermarket lip might fit just as good as well

looks like an ok find, but i'd get a pic of the replica and a pic of the real lip, and make sure you like the difference. Becasue personally i hate the way the replica looks, carbon fiber or not.

x2, the oem lip looks so much better, I almost got one until I saw a knock-off next to an OE lip.
Oe, or a mugen knockoff are the only front lips I'd get, and in urethane, Cf is a waste. I can't stand unpainted "bling" hanging from the front bumper.
Why add a cf part? There's no weight reduction involved when you aren't replacing an existing part with cf. And if you're going to paint the cf it's pointless to buy a CF one anyways.

^^^thanks for the reply's I just really wanted to know about this lips style and fitment.
I really like carbon fiber, and figured a CF lip would look good with a CF hood.
Plus my oem lip has a FAT scratch on it, and paint matching EBP would cost a lot more $$$!

If you have an oem lip, i would just bondo/sand/prep it myself and buy some EBP from paintscratch and paint it myself. Two thin coats and some generic Duplicolor clearcoat and it will look just like OEM paint.
But if you like the CF lip that much, got for it.

The CTR ran from 97-00, which would equate to the model years 98-00 in the US.
To explain the difference in production years (used in Japan) and model years (used in the US):
A JDM 1997 Civic would be built January 1997 - December 1997.
A USDM 1997 Civic would be built late 1996 - early 1997 and would begin being sold in the fall of 1996.
