Default Anyone running type-r cams in a gsr

I have a integra with a jdm b18c. A friend of mine who recently dropped some skunk cams in his type r. I want to get the cams off of him but i have a few questions first.

What difference do type r cams give?

Does any of the valve train have to be swapped or are the just strait drop in?

Incase they are not labelled is there a way to tell the difference between intake and exhaust cam?

Would these cams be suitible in a car that is daily driven?

Thanks

Type-R cams would make for an excellent daily driver. Power wise you will notice an increase in the mid-range and top-end power... you will know you have different cams in there. As for valvetrain, I would get aftermarket valve springs or at the minimum switch your intake valve spings to the exhaust side and buy Type-R intake valve springs. I am not sure if there is a label on the intake and exhaust cams, and I can't quote you the power increase you will see.

You will need to tune your ECU to work with the new cams, and make your car happy.

The intake cam has a slot on the end for the distibutor shaft to fit into.

i just get aftermarket springs and retainers just to rev it higher if your block aint like ****. that would be a great DD. and yes they go on one way. just like the other two guys said. look for the slot on the end of the cam and thats where it bones the dizzy.
