So im at my local drive thru ATM machines, nothing new to me..........
i pull up and notice the ATM sez out of service.
so i put it in reverse, look thru my mirrors as usual, everything looks good....... start to turn a little so can go into the next ATM machine.... and then,

BAM! hit something........ seemed HARD for 3, 4, maybe 5 mph..

well,
they decided to install street lights over every machine entrance......
i hit the goddarn cement block they use to stand the light poles in. the light pole wasn't in yet, which is why i couldn't see anything while i was backing up.
i thought for sure it was badly damaged by the way it felt........ i felt like a dumb son of a bitch too, so i got my cash took off down the street to my shop, were i finally got out and checked it........

not so bad! not nearly as bad as my mind was thinking. i thought the trunk and bumper were done for....... nope. not so bad at all. i for sure want a new bumper still though......... or maybe the mugen rear lip will cover the damage. ill post pics soon.

bummer. first damage to my new car.

I understand that! Night before last I found a door ding in my right quarter panel. Now I have a small dimple there! It didnt dig into my clear coat, but I now have a dimple!!!!!!!!!!Dry Ice here I come! ! ! ! And my car is only 2 months old!!!

yeah dude i was with my friend and his gf was driivng behind me...i was at the light..and i revved my motor but didnt go anywhere..and BAM she hit me...i thought my bumper was gone too...but damn wasnt that bad...might make her pay for a new one though..shes kinda rich.

 

Hmmm, in the back of your mind, wasnt there a new bumper you have always been wanting? Well dude, here is your chance! LOL

They cant stay perfect forever unforutnantley ... but try not to smoke what you sell... at least if you've gotta drive.

 

dont worry, i feel your pain. I bumped a van with my front bumper at about the same speed. But hey at least it gave me an excuse to get the hole from the lisence plate bracket patched that i told the dealer NOT to put on.

 

that sucks and all, but i laughed cuz i thought about the commercial where the musician backed into the pole and said it came outta nowhere. Couldnt find it on youtube. anyway hope you get it covered with the lip kit or find an inexpensive shop to fix it right

Go back to the dealership for a replacement bumper. You said NO... There is no reason for it. The front plate can be attached 100% without drilling any holes.

Yeah I agree. I had a tent blow into my car a week ago and hit right above the passenger rear side window, layed over onto the roof as well. Took it to the body shop and was quoted $985 to fix. Thank goodness I have a $100 deductable. So yeah the first one sucks! I have babied my car for over a year now and in 1 sec its all gone.

 

high school parking lot is all i have to say. I have dents and dings all over the place. Can't wait till I graduate and there all comin out.

Smashed in the bottom of my drivers door and almost blew the drivers mirror right off the car. Worst thing about it is she wouldn't admit it(damage to her car matched perfectly), and she drives a riced out 04 civic with a gay body kit.

the red line is the very top of the damage. so im not sure if a mugen kit will cover that???

 

Yea, I got it fixed. PITA though. Since she wouldn't admit it I had to file with AAA as a "hit and run" and tell them that I knew who did it. Even had to get the sheriff dept. out here to inspect the damage. They pretty much confirmed that it all matched, but since it was private property that's all they could do.

Where she was effed though is in the fact her and her parents have bought cars from our dealership. I work parts and service and have access to all the customer information. So, when AAA asked for info I said "what do you need? Vins, adresses, license numbers........."

Filed a claim against her insurance, my baby spent a week at the bodyshop and now it's good as new.

Oooo.... I think you can get that covered. Sometimes I wish our NAVIs had the same back up camera like the 07 CRVs do. That could of prevented it. Well sh*t happens. Get it a band aid
