Default IS THIS SAFE

is it safe for me to mount my battery next to the radiator near the header. im worried about the heat off of the header damaging the battery. just let me know cause i have to relocate it and id rather not put it in the trunk

How is it going to be mounted? Maybe if you made some kind of heat shield for it.

That would be bad. That not a good place for it without insulation and a number of other things..

What about this.

Sorry for the shitty pic, but what about one of these deals? It'll be a bit of fab work and welding, but it's a viable alternative.

The Odyssey mounted near the tranny seems like the best option. If this relocation is going on a daily driven car, I'd hate to have to rip the bumper off for a jump .

ok i just did mine and i use a stock 92-95 civic battery and put it in front of the trans on the stock black frame and mounted it there use one of the battery clamps down and screw it in the frame it is going to sit in and i clamped it down like that wish i had a digital cam. I sits under the head light and have the negative post toward the front of the car the crx battery is oposite with the battery post

because to legally race at a track u need a remote batery shut off.... this is required if the batery isn't in the engine compartment
